Noahs Ark was started over 36 years ago. What started as a small store front offering clothes to those in need has turned into a staple thrift store in our community. Located in the basement of the Exeter Pentecostal Church, Noahs Ark is known for its large inventory of clothes, household items and special finds, Noahs Ark is a one of a kind thrift store. You are guaranteed to find something when you pop in! Noahs Ark runs strictly on a donation basis. We receive donations from the community of clothes and household items and in return everything is offered by donation. There are donations bins located in the back parking lot for easy convivence of dropping off donations.
All of the money donated at Noahs Ark goes back into our programing and food programs that are also housed in the basement. The Community Table was started in 2018 to address the food insecurity problems that had began to increase in our community. The Community Table began by having weekly lunches and bi monthly dinners open to any member of the community. Over the course of a year and half over 10,000 meals were served! In March 2020 when the COVID pandemic began our meals had to stop, but we recognized that there was going to be an even larger need for food. This is when we began doing food hampers and have continued to do this today. Anyone who is struggling with food insecurity is able to come The Community Table and ask for a food hamper. Because of our partnerships with the Huron County Distribution Center and The Perth Huron United Way, we are able to provide fresh produce, dairy, meat and non perishables.
